What are the ingredients in the natural earth paint?
How can I use your Natural Varnish or Acrylic Medium to seal our wooden eggs?
Our Natural Varnish is perfect for sealing canvas, wood, stone, paper, crafts, and more. The Natural Acrylik Medium™ will work for this particular project of sealing eggs as well. Brush it on a completely dry surface with a wide, soft brush, and let dry. Clean your brush with rubbing alcohol, and enjoy your durable, glossy, non-toxic wooden eggs!
What are the brushes made from? Are they cruelty-free?
Our brushes are cruelty-free! Our eco-friendly brushes are made from corn fiber, bamboo, and recycled aluminum ferules.

Can my child or I eat your paints?
Although they are non-toxic, our paints are not intended for consumption. However, our Natural Egg Dye Kits are FDA approved for use in food!
Are your products free of nuts, dairy, and gluten for people with allergies?
All of our products are free of gluten and dairy. Our only product containing nuts is our Refined Walnut Oil, but it is not processed in our facility.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Absolutely! None of our products are ever tested on animals.
Are your paints vegan (not derived from animals)?
Yes all our paints are vegan, with the exception of our face paint which contains beeswax.
Have these products been tested for health safety?
Yes, all of the paints, pigments, and supplies have been tested by government certified toxicologists and are also third party tested. They are certified completely non-toxic.
Is it toxic to breathe the dust before mixing it into paint?
It’s not healthy to breathe any type of dust into your lungs, even if it is non-toxic and natural (like our pigments), or even dust from a dirt road! When mixing your paint, use caution to avoid creating clouds of pigment dust. Some people who are extra sensitive or concerned about dust can wear a certified mask for greater protection.
Do your paints wash off skin, furniture, clothes, etc.?
Our paints wash off of skin very easily. Our paints also wash off of hard surfaces, but they may stain clothing, carpet, or fabric.
Can I use your Earth Paints as Face Paint?
Earth pigments have been used by most indigenous cultures to paint their faces and bodies for thousands of years. Our Natural Face Paints are made with cosmetic-grade pigments and organic ingredients and are perfect for any kind of body painting. However, the children's paints contain gum arabic and cornstarch, which are safe ingredients but can be drying or irritating to some individuals’ skin with prolonged contact. We recommend using our Natural Face Paintsinstead because they’ve been specifically formulated to nourish the skin while providing vibrant, skin-safe colour.
Can your Natural Earth Paint be used for children’s bathtub finger paint (similar to Crayola foam soap)?
Our Natural Earth Paints are made with only corn starch, gum arabic (tree sap) and natural earth pigments. While all are non-toxic it is unknown what will happen in a bathtub or mixed with soap, since the corn starch is a thickener and the gum is a binder. It may work fine but we can't say for sure. You can always order one packet of our Natural Earth Paints and give it a try!

I recently bought a kit to make my own gesso, and before that, I had purchased pigments and other supplies to make watercolor and acrylic paints.
What I like about these products is that they are environmentally friendly (which is greatly needed), good for the health of the people who use them, and the painting process is slow, involving a lot of back and forth and pauses, in order to respect what wants to appear on the paper and also to appreciate the experience and the magic of beauty itself.
I sent away for a sampler of pigments, gum arabic, and acrylik binder. Despite the risks of winter, my parcel arrived safe and sound, and very quickly. The store was very careful about handling my order.
I've been playing with the paint all week and haven't had such fun in ages! I made my mixes according to the recipes at the Natural Earth website. Colours are vivid and beautiful, and great to work with. Very impressed! Thank you!
I am going to make watercolour paints, 20 colours and I've just now emptied each little bag (X2) into cute little jars so I can see how much I have.
