Ultramarine Blue – Color Index # PB29: This radiant blue pigment is the only color that has been fired to get this vibrant color. It is composed of 90% earthen clay and 10% man-made, non-toxic minerals, and it is heated in an oven to a high temperature. The composition of the mineral is Si4O10(OH)2Mg3. Throughout history, blues in nature were very rare and usually made with precious stones like Lapis Lazuli. Rutile is the second most abundant mineral sand. It is processed to extract the pure white mineral that we use in our paint kits. Note: Not to be confused with Titanium Metal (Ti) which is a silver metal that can also be derived from the same deposits but is a separate component. Titanium Metal is not a part of Titanium White pigment which does not contain any metal. Lightfastness- Excellent Note: The children’s white paint is made with limestone powder. Titanium White MSDS

The Best On The Market!

I have always been concerned about the health related issues surrounding traditional tube paint. I have even kept my young daughter who is in love with painting away from the art in fear of the toxicity. After switching all of my oil paints to Natural Earth Paint, my whole family is now enjoying the art daily. This paint has changed my entire opinion about the safety of oils. I feel so in touch and in control with my paint as I take it from powder to the texture I desire. The packaging and love that goes into each order is second to none.
Warmest regards, Summer & Gwena

Good product

I am a professional oil painter who started using these pigments in an effort to get away from the fumes of regular oil paint. I have really enjoyed working with this product, though I had trouble with the oil to pigment ratios at the beginning. I was also excited to see the new maya red and turquoise and I can't wait to try them, as I have been trying to achieve ever brighter colors since I cut cadmiums from my supplies.

Wonderful Collection of Earth-hued Pigments

I'm very happy with my pigments. I bought the full range of colors and I'm delighted with the offerings. Some colors are quite brilliant and others are more subdued. For my projects, that will work nicely. Shipping was fast, each pigment was secured in its own double-plastic baggie, and each hue was clean and pristine. I love also that they are from the earth, that's a huge message for the environment and my projects. Thank you!
