Mix the natural earth paint with water 1:1 or play with the proportions for thicker, more tempera-like paint, or thinner, watercolour-style paint.
If you have paint left after this project, you can explore using it on paper, wood, glass, stones, and other surfaces. Commonly used by adults as well for painting wooden toys, scrap booking and crafts. Note that they are washable (unless sealed).

What are the ingredients in the natural earth paint?
Our Natural Earth Paints contain corn starch, gum arabic (tree sap) & natural earth & mineral pigments.
What is the brush made from? Is it cruelty-free?
Our brushes are cruelty-free! Our eco-friendly brushes are made from corn fiber, bamboo, and recycled aluminum ferules.
Why use hemp?
Hemp creates one of the most eco-friendly fabrics in the world. Hemp requires no pesticides, crowds out weeds without herbicides, controls erosion of the topsoil, and produces oxygen. It is a renewable resource that can be cultivated in as little as 100 days and is the world’s most versatile fibre. It's strong, hypo-allergenic and non-irritating to the skin.
Are Natural Earth Paints washable once dry?
Our Natural Earth Paint is washable and will wash off your fabric creations. if you want to create permeant designs you can use our Natural Acrylic Medium and Natural Earth Pigment on fabrics.

Can my child or I eat your paints?
Although they are non-toxic, our paints are not intended for consumption. However, our Natural Egg Dye Kits are FDA approved for use in food!
Are your products free of nuts, dairy, and gluten for people with allergies?
All of our products are free of gluten and dairy. Our only product containing nuts is our Refined Walnut Oil, but it is not processed in our facility.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Absolutely! None of our products are ever tested on animals.
Are your paints vegan (not derived from animals)?
yes all our paints are vegan with the exception of our Natural Face Paint which contains beeswax.
Have these products been tested for health safety?
Yes, all of the paints, pigments, and supplies have been tested by government certified toxicologists and are also third party tested. They are certified completely non-toxic.
Is it toxic to breathe the dust before mixing it into paint?
It’s not healthy to breathe any type of dust into your lungs, even if it is non-toxic and natural (like our pigments), or even dust from a dirt road! When mixing your paint, use caution to avoid creating clouds of dust. If you gently scoop the pigment and carefully mix it with water, no dust should be created. Some people who are extra sensitive or concerned about dust can wear a certified mask for greater protection.
Do your paints wash off skin, furniture, clothes, etc.?
Our paints wash off of skin very easily—for extra help cleaning up the hands and body, especially when using oil paints, our Pinerite is the perfect all-natural solution. Our paints also wash off of hard surfaces, but they may stain clothing, carpet, or fabric.
What is your packaging made from?
We use 100% post-consumer recycled packaging, home-compostable pigment pouches, and recyclable glass and aluminum bottles for our products.

Like many artists, our founder believed toxic fumes and harsh chemicals were simply the price you paid for high-quality paint. But when she became pregnant with her first child, she began questioning what was really in the materials she loved to create with.
Determined to find a better way, she set out to create her own natural paints, proving that artists shouldn't have to choose between their health, the planet, and beautiful, professional-quality results.
