How to use
Mix the natural earth paint with water 1:1 or play with the proportions for thicker, more tempera-like paint, or thinner, watercolour-style paint. We recommend that you mix only as much as you need for one painting session. Refrigerate mixed paint in a covered container to keep good for up to 2-3 weeks. Explore using it on paper, wood, glass, stones, and other surfaces. Commonly used by adults as well for painting wooden toys, scrap booking and crafts. Note that they are washable (unless sealed).

Can my child or I eat your paints? Although they are non-toxic, our paints are not intended for consumption. However, our Natural Egg Dye Kits are FDA approved for use in food!
Are your products free of nuts, dairy, and gluten for people with allergies? All of our products are free of gluten and dairy. Our only product containing nuts is our Refined Walnut Oil, but it is not processed in our facility.
Are your products cruelty-free and vegan? Absolutely! None of our products are ever tested on animals or made from animals. with exception to our Natural Face Paint which contains beeswax.
Have these products been tested for health safety? Yes, all of the paints, pigments, and supplies have been tested by government certified toxicologists and are also third party tested. They are certified completely non-toxic.
Is it toxic to breathe the dust before mixing it into paint? It’s not healthy to breathe any type of dust into your lungs, even if it is non-toxic and natural (like our pigments), or even dust from a dirt road! When mixing your paint, use caution to avoid creating clouds of dust. If you gently scoop the pigment and carefully mix it with water, no dust should be created. Some people who are extra sensitive or concerned about dust can wear a certified mask for greater protection.
Do your paints wash off skin, furniture, clothes, etc.? Our paints wash off of skin very easily. Our paints also wash off of hard surfaces, but they may stain clothing, carpet, or fabric.
Can I use your Earth Paints as Face Paint? Earth pigments have been used by most indigenous cultures to paint their faces and bodies for thousands of years. Our Natural Face Paints are made with cosmetic-grade pigments and organic ingredients and are perfect for any kind of body painting. However, the children's paints contain gum arabic and cornstarch, which are safe ingredients but can be drying or irritating to some individuals’ skin with prolonged contact. We recommend using our Natural Face Paints instead because they’ve been specifically formulated to nourish the skin while providing vibrant, skin-safe colour.
How much can you dilute the paint? I would like to use it to colour paper or fabric. The children's earth paint can be diluted with water as much as you want. It becomes more and more like watercolour as you dilute it and works great on fabric and paper.
What is your packaging made from? 100% post-consumer recycled packaging, biodegradable cups and lids, home-compostable pigment pouches, and recyclable glass and aluminum bottles for our products.

Most items in our catalog do not contain temperature sensitive ingredients and are therefore not affected by cold temperatures. These items ship normally throughout the year.
However, certain products — including our Natural Acrylik Paints, Medium, and Fluid Acryliks — can be damaged if exposed to cold temperatures during shipping. For these select items, additional precautions are taken during colder months.
What We Do to Protect Cold-Sensitive Products
To help minimize the risk of freezing in transit, we:
Clearly label cold-sensitive products on their respective product pages
Apply Fragile and Do not freeze stickers to encourage careful handling by carriers
Monitor weather conditions along major points in the shipping route— although we’re not weather experts, and temperature drops can still happen.
In some cases, hold orders during periods of extreme cold to avoid spoilage
Please note: While we go to great lengths to package and ship your items with care during cold weather, we cannot guarantee that they won’t be exposed to freezing temperatures in transit. As such, we’re unable to offer refunds or replacements for cold-related damage.

All return and exchange requests must be made within 30 days of product receipt.
Upon receipt of your qualified return we will issue a full refund of the purchase price of the item, less the cost of shipping. If your order received free shipping, the cost we incurred to ship the item(s) will be deducted from your refund. Please allow 10 days for processing. Exchanges are subject to a 20% restocking fee (before taxes).
If you are sending back products, you may want to consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without it. Products returned without prior authorization will not accepted.

Like many artists, our founder believed toxic fumes and harsh chemicals were simply the price you paid for high-quality paint. But when she became pregnant with her first child, she began questioning what was really in the materials she loved to create with.
Determined to find a better way, she set out to create her own natural paints, proving that artists shouldn't have to choose between their health, the planet, and beautiful, professional-quality results.
